ABOUT

ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Glad You’re Here!

I'm Maliyah Coye.  As a therapist, I deeply enjoy helping clients get curious and compassionate about their relationship patterns, with all its nuance. While shrinking in relationships can hinder growth and connection, it was once a source of protection and brilliant way of seeking safety. The immense possibilities and growth that happens when folks perform small acts of bravery is profound. And I love witnessing it!

My Style as a Therapist

As your therapist, I will approach our work together from an intersectional lens, taking into consideration the various aspects of your identity and the way the world has reacted to that identity. I carry hopefulness and believe each person has an unyielding power to change and heal generational trauma. In sessions, there will be space to grieve, feel sad, and sit with painful emotions that may be too much to carry solo.

My clients get a real person, engaging and authentic. I will laugh and even curse at times. I am not easily shaken or intimidated. I can hold space for the depths of your pain and experiences because I have heard it all.

Healing happens in relationships and it’s important that we are a good fit. When you're ready, schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.

Contact Me

When I made the decision to become a therapist, my goal was to create a welcoming environment with an ethos of warmth and my office space reflects that goal.

I find it incredibly important for clients to approach their healing from an integrative approach. Because of that, I share building space with various therapists and providers that offer acupuncture, energy, and body work. The remodeled Victorian is a calming and healing arts center for clients to come and feel safe and cared for.
